The Bravado original basic nursing bra has the ability to stretch and contract to fit a woman's breasts without becoming too tight if she is engorged. This reduces the risk of mastitis.

This basic style maternity/nursing bra is suitable for smaller cups and has a distinct cross over cup design. We also stock the plus and double plus sizes if you require a larger bra. It has a sports-style back that provides great upper-middle back support and holds the shoulder straps in place - even when you are nursing! Furthermore, the shoulder straps are adjustable for extra comfort. It has snaps that lie flat under close-fitting clothing, and can be opened and closed with one hand. The cups drop fully away from the breast giving complete skin-to-skin access for the baby, which is recommended by breast feeding advisors.

The fact that the bra has a flexible and versatile sizing scheme means fitting is easier, as the bra will accommodate itself over approximately two sizes. The under elastic has been designed to be wide so that it gives extra support under the breast and it does not ride up or slip. It is machine washable and it is recommended that ordinary powder and detergents are used. However, using dryers is not recommended. The cups are pre-formed and have padded character. What's more, this bra has the Anita Kwik Klip for easy one-handed opening and closing. The glossy straps are stretch and adjustable and the width increases in the larger sizes. The satin taping in the shoulder straps continues down and under the cup for support when the cup is unclasped. The back has 2 hooks with 3 settings.

What about washing? This bra can be machine washed in a laundry bag but it should be hung to dry.

Do you want a wirefree nursing bra that is ideal for sensitive breasts? This popular 38 B nursing bra from Anita has pre-formed cups (without seams) that are stretch and pre-moulded from microfibre - which is especially supportive. The nursing clasps open easily with one hand, however, we must say that they do take two hands to reclasp! Though the picture is white, it is available in both black and white.

How about the straps? The straps are firmly secured to the breast support - this helps prevent slipping back when the cups are open. Furthermore, the straps are elastic and adjustable - and from 40B onwards these straps are wider.

So what is it like to wear? It is very soft and silky, light and it offers great support yet it hardly feels that you have a bra on! The microfibre is breathable, making it even more comfortable and it is ideal for smaller-framed women. The fact that it is stretchable means it allows for more adjustment with size fluctuation but at the same time it lowers the support factor slightly. The back has 2 hooks with 3 position fastening.

How should you handle washing of this bra? Machine wash warm and hang dry - but do not iron!
